How?
The Disabled Sailing Association of BC’s 2011 season runs Wednesday, May 25 through Friday, Aug. 26.
We sail from Wednesday to Sunday. It costs $10 per sail.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never sailed before, because one of our instructors will go in the boat with you. And it’s fine if you want to come for a pleasant afternoon out – not everyone has to take it seriously! However, if you get bitten by the bug and want to develop as a sailor, we can help you. We like to encourage people to become solo sailors, and can offer all the training required. You might want to challenge other sailors to a race and go on to enter regattas (and we can help you there, too).
Phone DSA-BC at 604-222-3003 to book a sail.
Here’s the small print:
| 1. | Sailing is offered seven times a day, Wednesday through Sunday, at 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. |
| 2. | Individuals can book up to three sails at one time. Groups of three or more can only book one outing at a time. |
| 3. | You must be registered and your Disabled Sailing Association membership must be in good standing before you sail. (This can be handled before you sail – allow around 20 minutes for registration, although you can cut this time right down if you download and complete the paperwork in advance) |
| 4. | If you plan to sail more than four times, you you will be made aware of a Jericho Membership. |
| 5. | On their third sail, people with a Jericho Membership are entitled to book three more sails. |
